Working Hard
Despite the fact that we spend a large amount of time travelling, my job still involves a good amount of hands on dirty work. Last week we worked with the students on the farm on Tuesday and Friday tilling a garden bed and filling with dirt and compost and planting seeds and papaya tree saplings. We harvested oranges from the orchard to make fresh juice, collected fallen oranges to prevent further pests, and many of the students work with my fellow intern to do some maintenance on the hiking trail located near the animal farm on our property. After each morning of hard work, sweat, and dirt, we were able to relax and cool off in the pool before the daily afternoon rainstorms. Sometimes the most rewarding things require you to get your hands dirty, but sometimes they are the most simple.
